Monique is the creator and maker of A slice of Ankara. Graduating in Fashion & Textiles, an experienced hand silkscreen printer for interior & fashion and with a love for all things textiles.

A slice of Ankara was launched in February 2019 on her daughters first birthday.  The concept for A slice of Ankara began when Monique was planning her daughter first birthday party and had the vision of creating an Ankara inspired party.

Monique started creating Ankara bunting and matching party hats while being a full-time mum. She was enjoying the journey of motherhood while also being able to be creative. Her daughter is her inspiration and gives her the motivation to keep growing and expanding A slice of Ankara.

A slice of Ankara aim is to encourage interactive & imaginative play, and now offers Handmade kids décor such as wands and crowns, aprons & Mummy & Me matching kitchen sets.
