Since 2006, Hammersmith BID has been working to make Hammersmith the best place in London to work, live, visit and do business. We now have 20 years of experience in delivering for our town centre, through impactful and trailblazing public realm initiatives, blockbuster events and vital security partnerships. In October 2025, our businesses voted ‘Yes’ to secure a fifth term and a minimum of £5m investment.
What is a BID?
A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led and business-funded body formed to improve a defined geographical area. A BID can only be formed following consultation and a ballot in which businesses vote on a BID Proposal for the area. The ballot is run by the local authority or outsourced by the local authority to a third party. All businesses eligible to pay the levy are balloted for a minimum of 28 days.
