On 7 May, Hammersmith BID will host an online lunch ‘n’ learn from 1pm to 2pm, to educate levy payers on fake bank notes. The Bank of England have kindly agreed to present on the topic and will provide examples of fakes and how to spot them. 

Unfortunately, Hammersmith BID has had reports on criminals in the area attempting to use fake bank notes in shops and eateries. We know that this is a growing problem throughout London and indeed the UK. In order to support our BID businesses, we will be collaborating with experts from the Bank of England, to educate workers in the retail and F&B sectors on how to avoid these scams.
