Circular Economy Week 2023

Monday 16 October to Friday 20 October marks Circular Economy Week 2023. To support you make changes that protect the environment on an individual level, our community clothes swap is returning to Hammersmith on Wednesday 18 October @ 245 Hammersmith Road (The Library, Mezzanine), 11 am to 5 pm. 

During our last community clothes swap we saved 652 items, over 190 kg of textiles, from ending up in landfill. Give swapping a try, refresh your wardrobe for free in time for the colder months and reduce textile waste. Sustainable fashion is the future.

Sustainable Clothes Swap Guidelines

• The event will be held on Wednesday 18 October @ 245 Hammersmith Road, 11 am to 5 pm
• The event will be run on a first come first served basis
• Participants should bring their own shopping bags: bags will not be available at the event
• There will be no changing rooms at the event and participants must not change in public
• To participate in the clothes swap participants must donate up to six items of clothing to the event
• For every one item participants donate to the swap (up to six items), they will receive one ‘swapped’ item
• Donations of over six items of clothing will not be accepted for the purposes of a swap
• If you are happy to give over more than six items, we will donate the excess to charity
• All clothes donations must be in clean and wearable condition
• The event organisers reserve the right to refuse donations they deem to be in an unacceptable condition
• Participants are encouraged to wash their new items before wear
• Except as laid out above, no purchase or payment of any form is required for entry into the event
