Our Community Clothes Swap returns to Hammersmith in September, providing another opportunity for you to give your pre-loved clothes a new lease of life and pick up new-to-you garments.

Just in time for London Fashion Week and in partnership with Livat Hammersmith, the Community Clothes Swap will return to the Sook Space in Livat on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 September, 11am to 5pm. Give swapping a try, refresh your wardrobe for free in time for autumn, and reduce textile waste!

How it works

To participate, visitors are required to bring up to six items to donate, which they can swap for up to six items. Surplus clothing from the event will be donated back to the local Traid and Royal Trinity Hospice charity shop.

Where it’s taking place

Come and find us in the Sook Space inside Livat on King Street. The Clothes Swap will be open from 11am to 5pm on Thursday 14 September and Friday 15 September.

The event is an excellent opportunity for local fashionistas to socialise and meet like-minded individuals, while minimising their environmental impact!

So, bring your clothes along to swap and refresh your wardrobe for free. Sustainable fashion is the future.

Sustainable Clothes Swap Guidelines:

• The event will be held from 11am to 5pm on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 Sep 2023 at Livat Hammersmith
• The event will be run on a first come first served basis
• Participants should bring their own shopping bags: bags will not be available at the event
• There will be no changing rooms at the event and participants must not change in public
• To participate in the ‘clothes swap’ participants must donate up to six items of clothing to the event
• For every one item participants donate, they will receive one ‘swapped’ item
• Donations of over six items of clothing will not be accepted
• Only adult clothing will be accepeted
• All clothes donations must be in clean and wearable condition
• The event organisers reserve the right to refuse donations they deem to be in an unacceptable condition
• Participants are encouraged to wash their new items before wear
• At the event organisers’ discretion, individuals may participate in the event without bringing clothes if they instead make a donation of an agreed amount to the organisers’ charity partner of choice
• Except as laid out above, no purchase or payment of any form is required for entry into the event, though donations to a charity partner of our choice are greatly appreciated
