If your business falls just outside the BID boundary, or you’re in the BID Zone but not currently contributing, you can opt to become a Friend of Hammersmith BID. The fee will be calculated using your business’s Rateable Value. Your business will then be eligible to select some of the BID’s services and projects.

Who can join?
Friends of the BID is open to:
- Businesses inside the BID Zone with a Rateable Value between £20,000–£51,000
- Any business inside the BID Zone currently exempt from the levy
- Businesses just outside the BID boundary who would benefit from BID services

Privilege Card Marketing Package
Perfect for businesses wanting promotional and marketing benefits.
Includes:
- Your offer featured on the Hammersmith Privilege Card Directory (18,000+ registered users)
- Opportunities to take part in BID campaigns such as I Love Lunch and the Summer Festival
- Up to three features in our weekly consumer e- shot (9,000 subscribers; open rate 45%-55% from January 2025 to March 2026)
- Access to BID networking events, training and forums
- Regular updates on local news and developments
Safety Package
Designed for businesses looking to strengthen safety and security.
Includes:
- Updates on local safety issues
- Access to Alert!, the BID’s crime reporting system
- Invitations to Shop Watch, Women’s Safety Forum, and other groups
- Regular business information updates
For businesses within the BID Zone:
- Annual visit from the Safety Team to discuss crime prevention
- Local offender intelligence shared through BID safety groups
- Access to a 24-hour reporting line for business crime and antisocial behaviour (for an initial term of six months)
For businesses outside the BID Zone, please contact the BID to discuss what bespoke support can be provided
