07 Jun 245 Hammersmith Road hosts Dr Bike on Clean Air Day
The BID’s next Dr Bike session will be hosted at 245 Hammersmith Road.
The date, 17 June, is also Clean Air Day 2021, the UK’s largest air pollution campaign. Led by Global Action Plan, Clean Air Day aims to bring together communities, businesses, schools and the health sector to:
- Improve public understanding of air pollution.
- Build awareness of how air pollution affects our health.
- Explain the easy actions we can all do to tackle air pollution.
Dr Bike, operated in partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham Council, forms part of the BID’s ongoing commitment to air pollution reduction, as we support cyclists and cycle commuting in and around Hammersmith. Each Dr Bike session provides participants with a free bicycle maintenance session, with qualified mechanics checking brakes, gears, chain, pedals, frame, lights and your bike rack and accessories. Any issue that can’t be fixed on site will be flagged, and an approximate cost given, so you can take the issue to a bicycle repair shop.
Cycle owners can also get their bikes registered with BikeRegister, the UK’s national, police-approved, bicycle marking and registration scheme.
To book your slot at our Dr Bike session on 17 June, any time between 11am – 3pm, please email g.brockie@hammersmithbid.co.uk
