Conscious Hammersmith: Winter Giving Campaign 2026

Conscious Hammersmith: Winter Giving Campaign 2026

At Hammersmith BID, we’re bringing local businesses together to support people and communities across Hammersmith & Fulham this winter. From November to early December, the Conscious Hammersmith: Winter Giving Campaign offers several simple ways you and your organisation can make a difference, whether you donate, give a gift or volunteer as a team.

Donate to the Winter Support Drive

From Monday 9 November and throughout November | Participating buildings across Hammersmith

Last winter, businesses across Hammersmith came together for our Winter Clothing Drive and collected over 250 items of new and pre-loved winter clothing. These donations went to organisations such as St Mungo’s and The Upper Room, helping people experiencing homelessness stay warm through the coldest months. This year, we want to build on that.

Hammersmith BID is running the Winter Support Drive, collecting good-quality, clean winter clothing and essentials, new period products and Christmas gifts for The Upper Room, Flow Happy and St Mungo’s.

Warm clothing and essentials for St Mungo’s and The Upper Room

  • Warm winter coats and jackets
  • Hoodies, jumpers and fleeces
  • Hats, scarves and gloves
  • New underwear and socks
  • Sturdy shoes and trainers
  • Sleeping bags
  • Backpacks
  • Toiletries and basic hygiene products (new and unopened)

Period products for Flow Happy (new and unopened)

  • Period products, especially organic pads
  • Long and night-time pads with wings for heavy flow

Christmas gifts for St Mungo’s Christmas hubs (new and unopened)

  • Personal Care sets for women (15 needed for the women’s hub on 3 December)
  • Christmas gift sets for men (around 50 needed for the men’s hub on 17 December)

Participating buildings and drop-off details – TBC.

The BID will collect the donations and ensure they reach the charities, so people in need receive them before Christmas.

Donate a prize for the Stadium Sleepout

Friday 13 November | Craven Cottage

This November, Fulham FC Foundation’s Stadium Sleepout at Craven Cottage is raising funds for Barons Court Project, the borough’s drop-in centre supporting people on low incomes, experiencing homelessness or living with mental health issues.

Businesses can donate auction or raffle prizes for the night, such as vouchers, meal vouchers or merchandise. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

To donate a prize or find out about sponsorship, contact us at info@hammersmithbid.co.uk, and we’ll put you in touch with the Fulham FC Foundation team. Read about the event

Volunteer and serve meals with The Upper Room

Monday to Friday | 12pm to 3pm or 3.30pm to 6pm | Shepherd’s Bush

The Upper Room is a Shepherd’s Bush based charity providing hot meals and practical support to people facing homelessness and hardship, helping them towards independence and employment.

Bring your team along to:

  • Help with food preparation and sorting donations (12pm to 3pm)
  • Support the evening meal service and clear-up (3.30pm to 6pm)

For businesses, there’s a suggested contribution of £350 for a half-day session (up to 4 volunteers) or £750 for a full day (up to 11 volunteers), which goes directly towards their services.

To book a date, contact us at info@hammersmithbid.co.uk, and we’ll put you in touch with The Upper Room.
