25 Jan Pop-up shop to return to Kings Mall after success of Made in H&F
A new pop-up shop will be opening in Kings Mall soon following the success of the Made in H&F outlet.
HammersmithBID, in partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham Council and Kings Mall, transformed an empty unit in the shopping centre into a bright, well-designed outlet, showcasing the best arts, crafts and clothing from talented local makers.
The shop, located next to Poundland and opposite Game, was open for ten weeks from October to early January – providing Hammersmith’s creative talent a place to sell their goods over the Festive season.
In total, 23 artists and craft makers took part – showcasing a range of art, crafts, gifts, accessories, home, jewellery and soft furnishers.
The feedback from the traders was hugely positive.
“What a great success the shop was – my sales have given me a real boost for moving forwards into 2019,” said Kat Campbell of Kat Campbell Design.
“Thank you all so very much for helping small businesses to thrive, not just in terms of money but also in experience,” said Valerie Smith of Valzara.
The reopening date of the store is still to be finalised but any arts and craft traders working in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham are encouraged to get in touch now – the application form can be found here.
There has already been huge interest in the next pop-up shop, demonstrating the healthy appetite from local artists and entrepreneurs.
“It’s great to hear there will be another pop up in the new year. It’s been really successful for me and I will be applying for the next one! It’s so great to have an opportunity to sell my bags locally,” said Naadu Ashun from A Bag Less Ordinary.
