30 Jun Conscious Hammersmith: Q2 2026 Impact Report
As part of our Conscious Hammersmith programme, Q2 brought together businesses, employees and local partners to deliver positive impact across Hammersmith. From tackling period poverty to promoting wellbeing and environmental sustainability, businesses continue to play an active role in supporting the local community.
Period Poverty Awareness Week 2026
In support of Period Poverty Awareness Week 2026, we delivered a Menstrual Product Drive. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, employees and community members, we collected 7,688 menstrual products (291 units), alongside additional hygiene items from collection points across Hammersmith.
The donations were distributed to St Mungo’s and Flow Happy, helping to support women and individuals experiencing period poverty and financial hardship within the local community. The campaign demonstrated the positive impact that businesses can have when they come together to support an important local cause.
Earth Day and Workplace Sustainability Activation
To mark Earth Day and Earth Month, we partnered with the Disney Facilities Team to deliver a workplace sustainability activation focused on biodiversity and environmental awareness.
Employees planted 100 wildflower pots to support butterflies and bees and encourage urban biodiversity.
Earth Month Clothing Swap
As part of Earth Month, we supported a clothing swap initiative with Disney’s Green Team, encouraging reuse and reducing textile waste. The initiative achieved strong engagement and delivered measurable environmental impact:
-
86 items of clothing donated
-
All remaining items redistributed to charity
-
369.2kg of CO₂ emissions avoided
-
36.6kg of landfill waste prevented
This initiative showed how small actions can collectively make a significant environmental difference.
Loneliness Awareness Week
For Loneliness Awareness Week, we partnered with The Ark, 1 Queen Caroline Street and PureGym to encourage conversations around loneliness, belonging and human connection.
As part of the initiative, we created a “Wall of Feelings”, inviting people to reflect on prompts about loneliness and connection and share their thoughts anonymously. The activity provided a safe space for participants to express their experiences, offer encouragement and reflect on the importance of meaningful connections in everyday life.
The initiative generated strong engagement, with many people stopping to read, reflect and contribute their own messages. It highlighted the importance of creating spaces for open conversations about loneliness and connection.
Ongoing community initiatives
Alongside these campaigns, we continued to deliver our regular community and environmental programmes throughout the quarter.
Our monthly H&F Foodbank collection drives collected a total of 301.5kg of donations this quarter, helping support residents experiencing food hardship.
We also hosted two Dr Bike sessions at 245 Hammersmith Road and Lyric Square, encouraging sustainable travel and helping employees keep their bikes roadworthy.
In partnership with PureGym and Keep Britain Tidy, 20 volunteers took part in a community litter pick, collecting 10 bags of rubbish and helping to keep Hammersmith cleaner and greener.
Community engagement and wellbeing
We also supporte and promote a number of wider wellbeing and cultural initiatives across Hammersmith, including Free Art for Wellbeing Workshops at Livat, continued support for Digital Champion volunteering opportunities, and contributions to the H&F Young People’s Borough of Culture programme.
These initiatives reflect the wider ambition of Conscious Hammersmith to embed wellbeing, creativity and inclusion into everyday community life.
