Hammersmith BID will host a Transport Forum on Thursday 17 December.
With a guest speaker from Transport for London (TfL), participants will be updated with the progress of current plans in place for a ferry service between Barnes and Hammersmith. The procurement process for this has been kick-started following a funding deal at the end of October between TfL and the Department of Transport.
A ferry will be a boost for local businesses, workers and residents, who have had to take much longer routes to access retail, leisure, medical care and work since the bridge was fully closed on public safety grounds following the heat wave in August.
We also expect to hear from Hammersmith and Fulham Council, with information about a borough-wide eScooter trial, as well as updates about the temporary cycle lanes, and other transport information.
