27 Jan £250 voucher offer to trial zero-emissions delivery service
Hammersmith BID together with Hammersmith & Fulham Council and operators, e-cargobikes.com, are delighted to be extending Parcels not Pollution borough-wide with a new voucher scheme.
There are one hundred vouchers, worth £250 each, on offer to any business in Hammersmith and Fulham who would like to trial this delivery service.
Businesses can make use of the e-cargobikes to deliver goods to shoppers and customers; or to receive supplies into Hammersmith, via a central Hub. Parcels not Pollution offer same, or next-day deliveries; and can accommodate frozen or chilled goods, large or small loads, with new trailers capable of carrying pallets and heavy goods up to a weight of 140 kg.
The service operates under COVID-19 secure protocols, with each vehicle steam-cleaned after every shift. The riders also carry hand sanitiser and wear masks to keep customers safe.
Patricia Bench, BID Director at Hammersmith BID, welcomes the initiative, which marks an expansion of the Parcels not Pollution service that the BID first launched in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Council in September 2019.
“We are delighted to support the roll out of Parcels not Pollution vouchers and would encourage local businesses to trial the service for both inbound and outbound deliveries. A core part of the BID’s Renewal plan is a focus on sustainability for Hammersmith, and we are committed to improving air quality and reducing emissions and congestion in the town centre. The expansion of this delivery service is a key element to achieving that.”
There are a limited number of vouchers on offer, so interested businesses would be advised to apply as soon as practical.
