19 Mar Personal security in Hammersmith
Recent events have highlighted the continued importance of personal security, and of creating safe spaces.
Whether at your place of work, shopping, socialising or just passing through Hammersmith; your safety really matters to us.
By investing in security and working in close partnership with the Metropolitan Police and Hammersmith & Fulham Council, Hammersmith BID is playing a pivotal role alongside our business community in creating safer spaces across Hammersmith town centre.
Although crime statistics and personal safety issues are relatively low within our town centre, the BID is committed to ensuring this remains the case and that Hammersmith continues to be great place in which to socialise, and to visit. However, the threat of crime in the capital is a reality and all of our partners are working together to improve safety and security through a number of ongoing crime prevention measures and initiatives.
For additional support, businesses can reach out to our dedicated town centre police team, who offer an enhanced level of policing engagement on a day-to-day basis.
Recent activity in partnership with the BID and Council that has really made a difference includes providing personal attack alarms to local employees and offering bespoke crime prevention advice to lone workers.
Read more about the various initiatives in operation, both from the BID and through our businesses and partners, to keep our community safe.
