Discover Hammersmith’s greener side

Discover Hammersmith’s greener side

As part of the BID’s programme of events on Car Free Day, we are reintroducing our Guided Walk programme, starting with a tailored walk to celebrate Hammersmith’s greener areas.

The Walk will commence at 1pm on Wednesday 22 September, and participants should meet at Hammersmith Bridge Road, on the approach to Hammersmith Bridge. This is the focal point for all the BID’s activities on Car Free Day, including bicycle tours, e-scooter training and Dr Bike.

On this ‘green’ walk, led by a Blue Badge Guide, the group will encounter an 18th century landscape gardener; a pub popular with film makers; delightful riverside gardens, as well as a Stuart inventor.

Take a break from your desk, stretch your legs and do something different on this Car Free Day. The walk is free to attend, but pre-registration is required – please book here.

Our regular Guided Walks will resume in October, and will take place on a monthly basis on the first Saturday of every month. The Walks are free to join, and registrations will be via this website. More information on the schedule and content of Walks will follow shortly.
