Women’s safety workshops

Women’s safety workshops

As part of our work with the recently launched Hammersmith Women’s Safety Forum, we are running lunchtime education sessions for all BID businesses and their staff around the topic. These include exclusive workshops on women’s safety in business, as well as sessions led by partner organisations on topics including bystander training and welfare and vulnerability training.

For example, the Suzy Lamplugh Trust have partnered with L’Oréal Paris to bring the expert-approved “Stand Up Against Street Harassment” international training programme by “Right To Be”. Sessions are an hour long and free of charge to attend.

This programme drives awareness of harassment, upskilling and empowering individuals across various settings such as schools, public transport, festivals, public spaces, and workplaces, to help defuse situations, discourage harassers, and support victims.

If you are interested in the course and would like to book, or for more information, please contact us.

We are also working with BPP University of Law’s Streetlaw Project, which provides legal education on topics such as how women can get their voices heard.

There will also be a women-only e-scooter training session with e-scooter provider, Tier, on 27th April, 10am -12pm in Hammersmith town centre. For more information on how to book, email us.

Check our calendar for the full schedule, or email us to join the Women’s Safety Forum mailing list, to be kept up to date on upcoming events.
