01 Aug 126 Hours Later: Wrapping up our Summer Extra Cleansing
Town Centre Extra Cleansing
To help keep Hammersmith clean this summer, Hammersmith BID worked with Hammersmith & Fulham Council and Serco, investing in extra cleansing for May, June, July, and August. High touchpoints around the town centre were cleaned three days a week, twice a month, for a total of 126 hours of touchpoint cleaning.
The service used a viricidal disinfectant in accordance with both the World Health Organisation and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control guidelines, killing any virus and bacteria in seconds. The staff responsible for enhanced cleaning noted how receptive people were, and one member of the public expressed how it was nice to see a ‘proactive’ approach ‘with the virus still around’.
