08 Sep Hammersmith & Fulham embraces World EV Day
This year 29th September is World EV Day and a chance to celebrate all things electric vehicle (EV). To mark the day, we want to share our exciting plans for e-mobility hubs coming to Hammersmith & Fulham soon. E-mobility hubs bring together shared modes of transport accessible to the public, with the ‘e’ indicating the transport is electric. They can include EV bays for residents to charge their car but also e-bikes, e-scooters and e-car clubs (electric car sharing schemes, for short-term rental use – usually a few hours to a day.
Hammersmith based charge point operator, Liberty Charge, will be deploying fifteen e-mobility hubs across the borough. The e-mobility hubs incorporate dedicated EV only bays, an e-car club bay and a bay for dockless e-bikes and e-scooters.
E-car clubs are great for both leisure and business travel. In addition to residents that commute by walking, travelling by bicycle or public transport, they will soon have the option of a nearby e-car club. Transitioning business travel via petrol or diesel vehicles to e-car clubs offers businesses, a greener, sustainable, healthier and more cost-effective commuting option.
Drivers and residents in Hammersmith & Fulham can already access 204 Liberty Charge fast EV charging sockets across 54 locations via the Liberty Charge driver app or via ZapMap.
If you’d like to see a charge point in additional locations, you can put in a request at the bottom of the web page here.
