20 Sep Green Volunteering: Litter Picking with Dassault Systems
On the 15 September, the team at Dassault Systems joined Hammersmith BID for a morning of litter picking. The volunteers were briefed outside 12 Hammersmith Grove before a 2-hour litter pick throughout central Hammersmith.
Thank you to our 19 enthusiastic volunteers who filled 9 bags of litter containing several cans, bottles, a dozen disposable vapes and 100s of cigarette butts.

Hammersmith BID works with local businesses to support the Keep Britain Tidy campaign. We facilitate litter-picking sessions and other green volunteering opportunities as part of our sustainability commitment. Every act to protect the environment, no matter how small, makes a difference. The campaign inspires people to eliminate litter for current and future generations. Green Volunteering can help permanently change behaviour, spotlight the problem and offer creative solutions.
Volunteers keep a tally of cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, vapes and bulky items they collect throughout the litter picking event. The BID team gathers these figures at the end and reports them via the Keep Britain Tidy website.
