26 Sep Celebrate the start of Black History Month
Join us in Lyric Square on Saturday 30 September to celebrate the start of Black History Month in the borough.
Celebrations are kicking off with a market in Lyric Square showcasing local Black history and culture from 12 to 5pm. There’ll be everything from Caribbean food to a live steel band, plus come to the Hammersmith BID stall for a free hot drink. Just show your Privilege Card to claim.*
Historians and Council workers will be on hand to provide more information and history, and let you know about all the ways the borough is celebrating local Black history and culture – both this month and throughout the year.
Looking to learn more? Join our next free Guided Walk! On Saturday 7 October, our guide will walk you through the lives of an Independence campaigner, a former president, a jazz singer and entertainer, and an artist’s model. Find out more and sign up here.
*Hot drinks available while stocks last.
