Help Shape the Future of Sustainability in British Business 🌍

We want to know about sustainability within your organisation!  Please give us 15 minutes of your time.

As part of their commitment to advancing sustainability efforts, British BIDs is partnering with researchers from the University of Essex to better understand the opportunities and barriers related to sustainability amongst British small businesses.  The research team, led by Dr Patrick Lown and Dr Debashree De, are conducting a comprehensive survey on the sustainability efforts of small businesses, covering topics from the general characteristics of your business and current sustainability practices to future goals and the kinds of support that your business would find most useful.

You can access the survey here.

Who is the survey for?

Whoever makes operational decisions for your business or organisation that includes sustainability. This might be an owner, manager, or dedicated sustainability officer. Please help us find the right person in your organisation!

You don’t need to know anything about sustainability to complete this survey, just familiarity with your own organisation.

How long is the survey and what will I be asked?

The survey is approximately 15 minutes long.

Will my data be protected?

The project has undergone ethical review at the University of Essex and any information provided will be kept strictly confidential, only appearing in anonymous formats in any reports or academic articles in which it is used. If you have any concerns, you can contact the research team directly.

Why should I participate?

We want to hear about your challenges, experiences, and aspirations for sustainability!

The survey gives businesses the opportunity to share their perspectives on sustainability, helping to develop new initiatives to support small businesses and BIDs on sustainability and to shape what a new sustainable future looks like for British businesses.

Participating businesses will also receive a summary report of the headline results of the survey, as well as further information about existing initiatives that they may wish to participate in.  If they are interested, businesses can opt-in during the survey.

Thank you for your help! Together, we can help British businesses transition to more sustainable practices for a brighter, greener future.
