This year we hosted our 19th Summer Festival in Lyric Square delivering a programme of free entertainment on our Big Screen in the heart of Hammersmith. Across seven weeks of summer, our Big Screen brought live Wimbledon and five open air movie screenings alongside live music, table tennis and more.
The Summer Festival brought together Hammersmith’s community to enjoy a variety of activities, entertainment and warm weather in the heart of West London.
To highlight the success of our headline event we have published our Summer Festival Report, bringing together data and feedback from visitors and local businesses.
We discovered that:
👉 478,767 visits to Lyric Square during the festival programme – a 4.5% increase from last year.
👉 80% of local businesses rated the Summer Festival as ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’.
👉 70% of local businesses stated that the Summer Festival had a positive impact on Hammersmith town centre.
