Q4 2024 Environmental Report

Q4 2024 Environmental Report

To maintain a clean and attractive town centre, Hammersmith BID conducts monthly Environmental & Street Cleansing Walkabouts. We report issues such as fly-tipping, graffiti and e-bike and e-scooter obstructions via the Love Clean Streetsapp, as well as to H&F Council’s Community Safety Unit.

Throughout Q4 2024, we made 139 reports, of which 83% have been resolved.

Graffiti

Incidents of graffiti continue to be the most common public realm concern, accounting for more than 40% of reports in the last quarter. Any offensive graffiti is removed within 24 hours of reporting and other graffiti is removed within five working days.

In addition to conducting our environmental walkabouts and reporting, we are continuing to work together with LBHF, Safer Business Network and Metropolitan Police through our Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) to prevent anti-social behaviour and reduce graffiti throughout our town centre.

Fly-tipping

Across the months of October, November and December, there were a total of 58 incidents of fly-tipping in the BID area, many of which included the fly-tipping of highway maintenance and household waste. However, after reporting via the Love Clean Streets app, 100% of these incidents were resolved and the waste causing obstruction was removed from the public realm.
