Earth Month is celebrated in April, and this month we’ve been working harder than ever to raise climate consciousness and spark action. Earth Month culminates with Earth Day on 22 April, harnessing the power of community to protect the planet.
Dr Bike at 10 Hammersmith Grove
As part of our commitment to promote active and sustainable travel, we offer a monthly Dr Bike session. In April, over a dozen bikes were serviced by a professional mechanic, helping to encourage cycling and reduce emissions.

Volunteering: Litter Picking in Hammersmith
In support of the Keep Britain Tidy Campaign, we partner with Hammersmith businesses to deliver impactful green volunteering days.
At the start of April, we were joined by 13 fantastic volunteers from 1QCS for a litter pick across Hammersmith’s town centre, and we’re excited to continue our work with Disney’s Green Team and CAA’s TaskForce.
Throughout Earth Month and beyond, we aim to create long-term behavioural change by spotlighting the problem and offering creative solutions for improving the environment on everyone’s doorstep. Join us for our next community litter pick on Tuesday 24 June by signing up here.

Clothes Swap with Disney Green Team
On Thursday 1 May, we’re working with Disney’s Green Team to host a Clothes Swap for Disney staff. To promote circularity and help keep textiles out of landfill, staff members will bring up to five items of summer clothing and swap them for pre-loved pieces to create a new seasonal wardrobe.
Community Gardening Workshops at Livat Hammersmith
Join Livat’s free weekly gardening sessions and workshops. The sessions will take place on selected Wednesdays and Saturdays from April to October 2025 on Ashcroft Square – accessible via the stairs at the top of Livat. Browse upcoming dates here.
Sustainability upskilling for H&F Businesses with the Shaker company
Earth Day can mark the incentive to kick-start a year of inspiration, learning and team empowerment that benefits your employees and your business around Net Zero efforts and circular solutions.
The Shaker Company host sustainability workshops that will upskill your organisation to make business-savy sustainability solutions the topic at your office and in your next strategy workshop – as every pathway to Net Zero relies on a workforce that turns climate ambitions into climate reality. This Earth Month, we’re also working with SocialBox.Biz. We’re encouraging businesses to donate their unwanted, working laptops as part of the CIC’s reusable tech initiative that helps to alleviate digital exclusion.
