London Climate Action Week 2025

London Climate Action Week 2025

Litter Pick (Tuesday 24 June, 11.30 am – 1 pm)

As part of our sustainability commitment, we regularly facilitate litter-picking sessions with the local community. For LCAW we’re inviting employees, residents and visitors to join #LitterHeroes across the UK in protecting our environment.

Join us on Tuesday 24 June to clean up Hammersmith. We will be meeting on Lyric Square at 11.30am and litter picking until 1pm.

Climate Festival (Tuesday 24 June, 11 am – 4 pm, Lyric Square)

Our Climate Festival is returning for its third year running. We’re inviting Hammersmith employees, residents and visitors to get involved in climate-themed activations and help raise collective climate consciousness.

Book Swap

It is estimated that in the UK, 12 million books end up in landfill every year. At Hammersmith BID, we want to help reduce that number and encourage circularity. So, trade in your old book(s) for a new and exciting story. You might even discover the perfect summertime read!

Bee Workshop and Wildflower Planting

Lyric Square will be buzzing with celebrations of Hammersmith’s biodiversity. Groundwork, supported by Livat, will be hosting a wildflower planting workshop, and we’ll be inviting attendees to share their pledges to help protect our planet. Bee Urbanwill be showcasing their observation hive and beekeeping equipment, as well as displaying their honey and handcrafted candles. Lyric Hammersmith’s resident beekeeper will also be on hand with lots of fun facts about bees!

Dr Bike & Bike Marking (12 pm – 2.30 pm)

From 12 pm, Dr Bike will be providing free bike maintenance. They’ll be giving out advice and checking your wheels, brakes, gears, tyre pressure, lights, racks, pedals, saddles and more. The free bike maintenance service will be accompanied by bike marking. Hammersmith & Fulham Council will register bikes through BikeRegister’sonline database, helping to reduce bike theft and support active travel.
