25 Nov It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Hammersmith
On Wednesday 19 November we hosted our Christmas Tree Switch On in Lyric Square. Joined by our businesses and the local community, the evening was filled with live entertainment and festive cheer which ignited the spirit of Christmas here in Hammersmith.
The Steel Pan Band Trust opened the event by performing a range of Christmas classics. The West London Choir followed, singing carols with help from the audience. To keep warm, guests sipped on mulled wine throughout the night, served by Outsider Tart. The Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham and The Dame from this year’s Panto – Jack and the Beanstalk – at the Lyric Hammersmith led the countdown before pushing the magic button to switch on the lights.
After the big moment, we headed over to the Hop Poles for our annual Festive Social. Thank you to everyone who came along and made the evening so special. It was also brilliant to see so many of our businesses in attendance, without whom this event wouldn’t have been possible!
