I Love Lunch reaches halfway point – have you voted?
As the BID’s I Love Lunch competition reaches its mid-way point, things are heating up in the kitchen.
In the Café category, last year’s winner, La Petite Bretagne, is leading the way, with high street coffee giants Starbucks and Costa not far behind. Hammersmith’s Garden Café and Kettle and Crust at St. Paul’s are also hot on their heels. Who will be the final winner?
Amongst the restaurants, two-time I Love Lunch winner, Villagio remains a firm favourite at the top of the table with their menu of Italian delicacies. But will newcomers Toro Gordo, with their authentic Spanish tapas experience, or Japanese fusion Wagamama (who came a close second last year) be able to topple them and win the crown? Only you can decide.
Finally, the undefeated Hammersmith Ram is still emerging as champion in the hotly-contested Pub category. However Hammersmith’s hottest new craft beer pub Draft House is challenging that spot, with King Street favourite The Swan and Glenthorne Road’s Dartmouth Castle and The Stonemason’s Arms close behind.
