10 Apr BID Shopwatch scheme up and running
The new HammersmithLondon Shopwatch scheme is now up and running with various major retailers on board in the BID area.
The scheme develops upon the Business Crime Partnership, started with the Hammersmith Pubwatch, and allows its members access to restricted information regarding retail crime offences and shoplifters. By becoming aware of potential threats and targets to retail stores, staff are more likely to avoid incidents of shoplifting and stock loss within their stores.
This improves their bottom line and creates a better run and more protected retail environment for customers and staff alike. Retailers are also free to add their own incident reports and examples of advanced shoplifting techniques to look out for to warn other retailers and spread awareness of the issues facing them using the system.
