17 May BID businesses recycle 20 tonnes in April
Nearly 20 tonnes of rubbish (19,395 kilos) was collected and recycled by Hammersmith member businesses in April.
BID businesses dutifully processed 3879 co-mingled collection sacks and saved nearly 20 tonnes from landfill. This also equates to a CO2 saving of 27.9 tonnes that would otherwise have been vented into the atmosphere.
This saving also includes paper which has separately saved the equivalent of 221 trees. This is very positive news and is a testament to the BID member businesses for their dedication in recycling their commercial waste.
