08 Aug A day of sporting fun with Chelsea FC Foundation
The rain didn’t stop us from celebrating the Olympics with Chelsea FC Foundation on 6 August! Despite the damp weather, just under 100 people joined us for the free event, enjoying Olympics-inspired games with Chelsea FC Foundation staff followed by healthy living inspiration, a free IKEA lunch and gift from Chelsea FC Foundation for all participants. We also ran a Chelsea quiz, and have now contacted our lucky winner who will receive a signed Chelsea shirt.
This was our second collaboration with Chelsea FC Foundation and Livat Hammersmith, and the day was designed to provide local families with fun, free activities they could all take part in, support families during the summer holidays and provide healthy living inspiration.
Our stewards carry out regular surveys at all our Summer Festival events, and this showed that 95% of attendees at our Family Olympics event said the the day had provided support for their family during the summer holidays. The majority of attendees stated that their reason for attending was to keep their kids busy during the summer holidays. 95% agreed that the event made Hammersmith feel more vibrant and 90% had either bought something in Hammersmith already that day or were planning to.
