09 Nov A new zero-emissions market for Hammersmith
Hammersmith BID is proud to deliver London’s first zero-emissions market, launching on November 28th. All stalls and materials will be delivered with zero-emissions and all stallholders will be supported by Parcels not Pollution, Hammersmith’s zero-emissions delivery service.
The market will take place on Hammersmith Bridge Road, on the approach to Hammersmith Bridge, on two Sundays in the lead-up to Christmas: November 28th and December 12th. The event will feature high quality merchandise including gifts, home accessories, clothes, art, jewellery, and crafts. Priority is being given to local traders, artists and small businesses operating within the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
Some traders already confirmed for the market include Sabani Linens; GemRocks; Homemade By Leda & MiltonArts; Herbalist in the Hood; Kaleidochic; the Natalia Brobova Gallery; Selano; and IMMY London.
All traders will use Hammersmith’s e-cargobike service, and no petrol or diesel vehicles will be permitted. In addition, all shoppers will be encouraged to travel to and from the market sustainably, by foot, bicycle, e-scooter or public transport.
The market will be attended by the Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, and there will be entertainment throughout the afternoon, along with free bicycle tours and e-scooter training to encourage future zero-emissions travel for West Londoners.
