27 Jun Attending the Capital West London Growth Summit
In June, Hammersmith BID attended the Capital West London Growth Summit and BID Director Livia Caruso joined a panel event on ‘Bringing fun and culture back to town centres’.
Livia joined Amy Lamé (Night Czar for the Greater London Authority), Morwenna Hall (Chief Operating Office at Argent LLP) and Peter George (Strategic Director of Economy and Sustainability, Ealing Council) for the panel which discussed the ways public space can be used to invigorate our town centre economies, and how the night economy is crucial for West London.
Livia spoke about how Hammersmith BID has used events such as the Summer Festival and Zero-Emissions Arts Markets to draw people into Hammersmith and increase dwell time with entertainment such as live music proving especially popular. She also highlighted the challenges presented by these events, such as funding, and how finding the right partner is important.
