27 Sep Award for Hammersmith BID’s Parcels Not Pollution
On 22 September, a Bronze award was presented to Hammersmith BID at an online award ceremony for the Global Good Awards.
The award recognised the work of the BID, which established the Parcels Not Pollution scheme alongside other strategic partners including Hammersmith & Fulham Council, TfL and E-Cargobikes.
Livia Caruso, Director of Public Realm, and project lead, said:
“Hammersmith is a hugely important hub for transport and business, and this has traditionally brought a lot of delivery vehicles to the town centre.
“With Parcels Not Pollution, the BID has brought together key partners to deliver a last-mile delivery service and remove harmful air pollution and congestion from the area.”
Members of the BID communications team watched the online awards ceremony – in which the BID was awarded joint bronze in the Community Partnerships category – from an outdoor event to mark Car Free Day on the approach to Hammersmith Bridge.
