Discover the history of the Boat Race by taking part in a free hour-long Guided Walk on Saturday, April 4.
Get a taste of blue fever, and hear of past glories – who won, who lost and who sank, between 11am and 12noon on Saturday, just one week before the 159th annual University Boat race.
Our Blue Badge Guide will meet at Ravenscourt Park tube station at 11am and take the walkers to Hammersmith’s best vantage points for The Boat Race – the Thames path, Furnivall Gardens and Hammersmith Bridge – while regaling them with fantastic stories of key past races between the Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
