07 May Business alert: rise in ‘smash and grab’ incidents
Please be advised that there has been an increase in the number of reported break-ins and smash-and-grab incidents at businesses in Hammersmith, both during the day and at night and at a range of different premises types.
Ensure that you are always aware of your surroundings and that you double-check that all doors and windows are locked when entering or leaving the premises. Additionally, be cautious of people who may be tailgating you to gain access to your workplace.
If you notice anything unusual or your building alarm has been activated, please contact the Police either on 999 in case of danger or 101 in case of non-emergency.
If you have any intelligence or information regarding any similar incidents, please contact the police, your local Safer Business Network officer Alessandra and Hammersmith BID so we can ensure the incident is fed into Alert, our reporting platform.
