Hammersmith BID publishes new forward-thinking document, Hammersmith Now

Hammersmith BID is delighted to announce the launch of its new forward-thinking document, Hammersmith Now.

The booklet showcases Hammersmith as a thriving business destination, home to blue chip companies as well as a mix of high street and independent retailers and restaurants, with a vibrant arts and culture scene and bustling night life economy.

The document sets out Hammersmith BID’s vision, it showcases the area as an ambitious business destination while giving insight into its growth potential and striving regeneration programme that will shape its future.

These key developments, including the King Street and Town Hall redevelopment, which will revitalise the western end of King Street, plus plans to redevelop Landmark House and The Triangle site, will create new homes, additional offices and co-working spaces as well as
expand the leisure offer in Hammersmith, helping to drive the town’s economy.

Hammersmith Now was launched at an event sponsored by Barclays Networking on June 11th. More than 70 people attended the event to learn about the BID’s work and discuss areas of partnership working.

During his opening address, Philip Smith, Branch Manager at Barclays said he was privileged to be at the launch. He explained that learning about Hammersmith BID’s work and focus has taught him about the dedication and commitment by all who are involved and he added: “It just shouts out community.”

Hammersmith BID Director, Patricia Bench said: “Even though we are the smallest borough, we are excelling across different levels. As a proactive and successful business, Hammersmith BID is wholly committed to making the best of Hammersmith for all to benefit. It is already west London’s best-connected office and business location. Signs of future growth are already evident with the number of developments taking place driving inward investment.

“We want to see Hammersmith capitalise on these opportunities and those that wider investment in large-scale projects in west London, such as Crossrail and HS2, will bring to the town and ensure it continues to be a hub for business and a great place to live, work and visit.”

Drawing on the borough’s historical ‘spirit of innovation’ and progressive outlook, the Hammersmith BID team continue to enrich and add value by building a stronger, cleaner, safer, well-informed and connected business community.
