25 Apr Hammersmith BID team attends West End Climate Summit
The Hammersmith BID team attended the West End Climate Summit on 21 April, hearing from leading voices at brands such as IKEA, John Lewis, Microsoft and many more about the steps they’re taking to net zero. Three panel sessions saw a range of sustainability leaders discuss how businesses can respond to customer demand for sustainability, support Net Zero by 2040, what role the built environment plays in this and what data we should all be using to best measure our efforts.
Here in Hammersmith, our ambition Public Realm Vision intends to transform our town centre into a more connected place, championing sustainability, inclusivity and local identity. From tackling pollution and traffic to improved wayfinding, take a look at our plans here.
The event also saw the launch of NWEC’s Road to Zero Hub, featuring a range of case studies, resources and best practice from the retail, hospitality and property sectors.
The Summit was organised by New West End Company and White Label Creative, and will be the first of many!
