Hammersmith & Fulham’s Young People’s Borough of Culture

Hammersmith & Fulham’s Young People’s Borough of Culture announced the first details of its programme: School Arts Week and the Our Place participatory grant scheme. A reception was held at the House of Lords to celebrate the official launch of the programme. We are proud to be supporting and contributing to this project alongside other borough-wide partners including Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, H&F Council, The Earls Court Development Company, DanceWest and Fulham Pier.

From Monday 13 to Friday 17 July 2026, School Arts Week will offer a creative workshop to every state primary and SEND school in the borough. Plus, applications are now open for the first round of Our Place participatory grant scheme, giving young people aged 13 to 25 who live or learn in the borough an opportunity to receive funding for their creative pitch.

Led by a selected youth board, The Young People’s Borough of Culture is a collaborative effort to implement more creative opportunities in schools and is estimated to reach over 10,000 children.
