Our award-winning Summer Festival has been entertaining the people of west London for almost 20 years. This summer, it’s back with live action from Wimbledon, free film nights and the return of opera on Lyric Square.
Live Wimbledon
Starting Monday 29 June, the Big Screen will be showing all the action from Wimbledon. Catch every shot from a Hammersmith BID green deckchair, and don’t miss Finals weekend (11 and 12 July) for the best matchday atmosphere outside of SW19.
FREE Film Nights on the Big Screen
The BID’s ever-popular free film nights are back on Thursday evenings. Catch Wicked: For Good (16 July), kick off the summer holidays with Paddington in Peru (23 July), enjoy space spectacular Interstellar (30 July) on our giant screen, then go back to high school with 90s classic 10 Things I Hate About You (13 August).
All films begin at 6pm but come along earlier to enjoy live music on Lyric Square.
Opera on the Square is back!
This year the BID is marking 20 years of working for Hammersmith, and what better way to celebrate than bringing back one of Hammersmith’s most popular events? Opera on the Square is back with a showing of The Royal Opera’s La bohème (6 August).
