Highline winners receive awards

Winners of the Hammersmith Highline competition were awarded their prizes by the Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham, Councillor Daryl Brown, at an event held in Kings Mall shopping centre.

Landscape architect and garden designer Richard Jackson’s award for Hammersmith Hi-Line was collected on his behalf by Rosemary Pettit.

Architectural firm bauchplan, designed a concept called fish and chips, traveled from Vienna to collect their prize. The bauchplan team designed the concept without having actually seen highline location.

BID Director Patricia Bench said: “We have been truly amazed by all of the entries and the interest that the Hammersmith Highline competition has received.”

All of the entries are on display at Kings Mall shopping centre. The exhibition was due to end on 7th July, but due to popular demand, it has been extended until 21st July.

The competition was set up in partnership with West London Link.

Kings Mall shopping centre, as a part of the #startupmall campaign, and Medidata sponsored the prizes for the overall winners and schools competition.
