17 Sep In Bloom is coming to Hammersmith in October!
Get your little ones ready for a half-term adventure as In Bloom comes to Lyric Square from Sunday 4 October to Friday 6 November.
In Bloom is an interactive light and sound sculpture inspired by the natural world. Its glowing spheres represent the flowers of a giant plant, and there is no right or wrong way to play. Touch the different spheres and watch as they change colour and create different sounds.
The installation is inspired by bees and other pollinators as they move from flower to flower in search of nectar and pollen. It is also the starting point for our free Hammersmith Bee Trail, which will give families the chance to explore the area, discover more about local wildlife and win prizes.
Seven busy bees have left the hive and are hiding in businesses around Hammersmith. Follow their trail to find all seven bees and answer their questions using clues from the information boards.
The Bee Trail is completely free and family friendly, making it a great way to get out and about in Hammersmith this half term! The trail will be live on our website from Sunday 4 October, so check back then to take part and follow us on Instagram for the latest updates.
The first ten people to submit all fully correct answers will win a pot of Hammersmith Honey, produced by the bees that live on the roof of Lyric Theatre. All correct entries will also be in with a chance of winning an afternoon tea for four at the Novotel London West!
Come and explore In Bloom, discover Hammersmith’s bees and see the town centre in a brand-new light this autumn.
