30 Oct Launch of WalkSafe awareness stickers
Hammersmith BID and WalkSafe have worked together for nearly a year combining efforts to create a safer Hammersmith. WalkSafe is the UK’s leading free personal safety app that users can download to plan safer journeys and access other safety features.
Since partnering with WalkSafe, Hammersmith BID has been working with local businesses to plot official safe space venues on the WalkSafe map. Local office buildings such as 3 Shortlands and 245 Hammersmith Road have now become official safe space venues alongside Hammersmith library, the Lyric Hammersmith and a selection of Hammersmith pubs.
To highlight these official safe venues even further, this month we collaboratively produced WalkSafe window stickers. Assuring the public that the venue has safety policies in place for its customers and staff, the sticker will be displayed in the venue’s front window. We have also produced a training cribsheet for venue staff to ensure businesses are equipped with the tools to make their business a safe space.
