Meet our Engagement Officer, Alessandra Galetti

A bit about Alessandra…

I’m Alessandra Galetti, originally from Italy. Following my undergraduate studies at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, my quest for knowledge led me to London, where I pursued a Master’s in Criminology with Forensic Psychology.

My professional journey started with a unique experience at the Maximum-Security Prison in Milan Bollate, engaging with over 100 male inmates. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of the complexities surrounding antisocial behaviours.

For my dissertation during my Bachelor’s, I delved into the profound impacts of gender-based violence and femicide on the orphaned children of victims. Through interviews with perpetrators, I aimed to shine a light on the darker aspects of intimate partner violence.

While fueled by an evolving interest in cybersecurity, for my Master’s dissertation my focus shifted to the online realm, exploring how the Italian Mafia exploits the internet for illicit activities.

I’m currently honored to be part of the Safer Business Network, where I’ve been actively involved in the dynamic field of crime prevention. Safer Business Network has provided me with a platform to apply my passion and knowledge towards creating safer environments for businesses.

On a personal note, as an extroverted individual, I thrive on connecting with others. Bilingual and fervently dedicated to continuous learning and meaningful work, I find joy in engaging with diverse perspectives.
