Our Clothes Swap is coming back to Livat Hammersmith to refresh your wardrobe for spring! Bring along your pre-loved clothes, swap with others and give yourself a more sustainable spring makeover for FREE.
The Swap will take place at Livat’s Pop-up Space from 25 to 29 March, 11am to 5pm. To get you fully spring-ready, there’ll be special events taking place at the swap too. The swap will be hosting a Mending Workshop on Tuesday 26 March so bring along your clothes for tips on fixing tears, holes and making alternations. On Wednesday 27 March we’ll be opening late as part of Livat’s Spring Market launch, with extra market stalls, live music and food to enjoy while you shop.
So far our Clothes Swaps have saved 400kg of clothes from landfill and have seen over 1,000 items of clothing swapped.
Clothes Swap Guidelines:
- The clothes swap operates on a first come, first served basis.
- Participants should bring their own shopping bags: bags will not be available at the event.
- Participants will only be able to swap: adult’s clothing. No other items will be accepted.
- All donations must be in clean and wearable/useable condition. The event organisers reserve the right to refuse donations they deem to be in an unacceptable condition.
- Unfortunately, there are no changing room facilities available at the event.
- For every one item participants donate, they will be able to select one ‘swapped’ item.
- To participate in the ‘Livat Clothes Swap’ participants must donate up to six items of clothing/accessories to the event. Donations of over six items of clothing will not be accepted.
- Each item may be given a colour coding to represent the value.
- Participants are encouraged to wash/clean their new items before wear/use.
- No purchase or payment of any form is required for entry into the event.
