28 Feb Pride self-guided walk in Hammersmith
To celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month and Pride in Hammersmith more widely, Hammersmith BID has developed a self-guided Pride walk.
Starting in Hammersmith Broadway, where in 2022, local artist Dan Vo redesigned the tube sign to celebrate Pride, the self-guided walking route takes you on a journey through Hammersmith’s LGBTQ+ History.
By exploring entertainment venues past and present and highlighting the work they and other local organisations have done for the LGBTQ+ community, the walk aims to promote inclusion and celebrate Hammersmith’s diversity.
Finishing along the river, the route takes you to the former Orion Rowing Club, which was made up of gay and lesbian rowers from across London, and the iconic Riverside Studios. The Pride tour enables you to explore the rich local LGBTQ+ culture and history of Hammersmith while also allowing you to enjoy the beautiful views West London has to offer.
