The BID funded officers have delivered some outstanding results across Hammersmith town centre over the winter months. Significant arrests have been made connected to burglaries and prolific bicycle thieves, sustainable solutions are being implemented against problem offenders through the use of CBOs and a zero-tolerance approach addressing violence around licensed premises has led to criminal charges.

Best practice is being achieved this winter through good teamwork enhanced by the high quality of SafetyNet radio transmissions by the business community and furthered by the proactivity of our dedicated BID funded CCTV operator. Some of the diverse incidents successfully managed include a number of counter terrorism related concerns, safeguarding a vulnerable child, a criminal gang targeting stores across the capital and a shoplifting duo who thought they had got away.
