22 Apr Spread the Joy of Reading – Join the Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteering Team at Doorstep Library
Doorstep Library are looking for volunteers, either in person or online, to join their team to bring the magic of books and the joy of reading directly into the homes of families after school in Hammersmith & Fulham, who are in need of support.
You could be visiting the same families on a regular basis and hand pick books to fuel children’s natural love of stories, fire their imaginations, and encourage their appreciation of reading. You could also help to not only improve literacy and confidence in children, but also increase family wellbeing and bonding through the joy of sharing stories. Volunteering could help prepare children for school and broaden their opportunities in life.
