19 Mar Homeless charities need more support than ever during COVID-19
You can help your local charities right now, through Small tap, big change
Everyone is suffering through these unprecedented times. Many jobs are under threat, education and travel have been disrupted, and our normal way of life has been turned on its head. Most importantly, we all face the threat of coronavirus.
At times like these, the most vulnerable in our communities can be forgotten. But the homeless people on our streets face even more uncertainty and danger than ever.
Please help to support our local homeless charities who are working under great pressure, some with a reduced workforce, to ensure the safety of the homeless.
Donate to Small tap, big change today
you will be supporting the following local charities. Many of these charities also faced added pressure on their resources in order to comply with the Government’s guidance and so are struggling more than ever.

- Barons Court Project
We are a day centre serving people who are homeless, those at risk of homelessness and people living with mental health issues in Hammersmith and Fulham. Our current ratio of guests is 67% reporting they are street homeless and 33% living with mental health issues, some of whom have been street homeless.

- St Andrews Church
What we seek to provide at St Andrew’s is not simply practical help, but also a place of welcome, peace and hospitality: a place where guests can stretch out and sleep in safety and where they are treated by all with dignity and respect. Our weekly homeless project runs almost every Saturday throughout the year, providing breakfast, a 3-course, home-cooked meal, walk-in wet room showers, clothing and fortnightly medical check-ups.

- The Upper Room
The Upper Room’s vision is to support and improve the lives of vulnerable people in our community to make them more resilient and to help them make positive life choices. We provide a number of inter-linked services that focus on giving the socially disadvantaged the tools and skills they need to restore their dignity, reduce their risk of homelessness and help them to become economically independent.

- Glass Door
Glass Door Homeless Charity is London’s largest open-access network of emergency winter shelters and support services for men and women affected by homelessness. Our vision is a world where no one has to sleep on the streets of London, and we’re working every day to achieve this.
