27 May Thank you Hammersmith: Period Poverty Awareness Week 2026
In line with our Conscious Hammersmith programme, we hosted a Menstrual Product Drive in line with Period Poverty Awareness Week 2026.
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, employees and community members across Hammersmith, we collected an incredible total of 7,688 menstrual products (291 units), alongside additional hygiene items donated across our four collection points.
We are especially grateful to the office buildings that hosted drop-off locations:
- The Ark, Talgarth Road
- 10 Hammersmith Grove
- 245 Hammersmith Road
- 1 Queen Caroline Street
We would also like to give special thanks to Principle Cleaning Services Limited, who alone donated 228 units of menstrual products, totalling an incredible 6,840 individual products.
These donations will now be distributed between St Mungo’s and Flow Happy, helping to support women and individuals experiencing period poverty and financial hardship within our local community.
This initiative was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when businesses and communities come together with kindness, compassion and a shared commitment to supporting others.
Thank you again to everyone who donated, hosted collection points and helped spread the word. Together, we are creating a more caring and inclusive Hammersmith.
