The BID funds new town centre hand sanitisers

The BID is funding eight new hand sanitising stations around the town centre, as part of its Reopening Hammersmith campaign.

The stations, which will remain in place for several months, are intended to welcome visitors and workers back to the town centre, and boost confidence and safety as we all navigate the ‘new normal’.

Positioned in strategic places, including at the foot of Lyric Square, adjacent to the parklet in Hammersmith Grove, and near to King’s Mall on King Street, the stations will provide good outdoor coverage, complementing the many additional sanitisers placed inside shops,  restaurants and pubs.

The colourful graphics reflect some of the BID’s projects, including our Privilege Card; and Small tap, big change; offering QR codes for anyone wanting to find out more.

We are also delighted to be able to feature some of our Hammersmith Heroes, discovered through our Heroes campaign that we ran in November and December 2020.

While the four winners were rewarded in December with a seasonal hamper, we are now able to also share the stories of many other nominated residents, employers and businesses. Their positive impact on their own networks during the pandemic – whether family, customers or work colleagues, has been highlighted and acknowledged. We hope you enjoy reading their stories.

Alongside the hand sanitiser stations, the BID continues to deliver enhanced cleansing of public touch points throughout the town centre.
