It’s that time of year when we take stock of the previous 12 months of projects and achievements. As always, it’s been a jam-packed year for the Hammersmith BID team, from April 2024 to the end of March 2025!
Public Realm & Green Investment
- Our Public Realm Vision for Hammersmith East has taken big steps forward, with a six-figure funding sum secured from public and private stakeholders
- We’ve led 10 litter picks with 86 volunteers from Hammersmith businesses including Disney, Hearst Networks, UK TV and Newell Brands
- Our beehives on the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre have produced 144 jars of local honey
Security & Resilience
- Our Safer Business Network Engagement Officer made 1,298 visits to BID-funded Hammersmith businesses and recovered £21,448 worth of stolen goods. Plus we’ve recorded 272 incidents on Alert!, all reported to the local Police team to track repeat offenders
- Hosted our Women’s Safety Forum every quarter, attended by 146 stakeholders throughout the year
- Ran 10 Dr Bike and bike marking sessions for the town’s business community, servicing and/or registering 116 bikes
Community & Partnerships
- Our Made in H&F shop, in collaboration with the Broadway Centre and Hammersmith & Fulham Council, has generated a turnover of more than £60,000 for local traders and to be reinvested back into the shop
- Last summer we entertained over 70,000 people at our Summer Festival and screened the Olympics as well as Wimbledon. We built on this ‘Summer of Sport’ with some fun-filled activity days with Chelsea FC Foundation, Fulham FC Foundation, Livat Hammersmith and IKEA
- We installed our seasonal lighting, hanging baskets and the Lyric Square Christmas tree, plus we hosted the annual Christmas Tree Switch On with a record turnout! In 2025, we’ll be ordering more mulled wine…
We also received our British BIDs Accreditation Award – a marker of industry excellence – plus we hosted the British BIDs Marketing Summit at the Novotel London West.
Thanks to all our partners, board members and businesses for your continued support. With our Ballot coming up in autumn 2025, the next year is set to be an even bigger one!
